JI announced Meredith P. Davis, Caseflow Management Administrator for the 26th Judicial District, State of North Carolina, as the winner of the eleventh annual Raising the Bar award at the twelfth annual Evening at the Courthouse fundraiser event on April 26, 2018. Each year, the Raising the Bar award is presented to honor an employee within the 26th judicial district who has made a significant and notable contribution to the advancement of the Mecklenburg County court system. The type of contribution made may be related to performance, leadership, innovation, advocacy, public education or some other meritorious area related to the public good. The JI board of directors determines the relevancy, level of importance and degree to which each contribution has made a difference. Recognition is given in the form of a $1,000.00 check, a plaque in recognition of their accomplishment presented at Evening at the Courthouse, and a permanent listing of their name in the registry of past winners. Meredith graciously serves as lead over both Caseflow Management and Family Court while the search for a permanent Family Court Administrator is underway. In the history of this award, Meredith received the most nominations and was the most widely nominated, having received nominations from peers, direct reports (both new and seasoned) and those senior in relation to her position.
