Glenn Thomas - Executive Director

As the Executive Director for Justice Initiatives, Glenn Thomas serves as the chief executive officer and oversees
all facets of business operations for the organization. Prior to joining Justice Initiatives, Glenn served as a
leadership consultant, non-profit leader and public servant for over fifteen years with organizations including
the Mecklenburg County Manager’s Office, City of Atlanta, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, YMCA of Greater
Charlotte and Communities In Schools North Carolina. Most notably, Glenn served as the Budget & Policy
Manager for the City of Atlanta Public Safety Division, where he led finance and policy initiatives for the
municipal court, police, fire and corrections departments. In 2009, Glenn was named “top 40 under 40” by the
Atlanta Business Journal, and has served as a board member for Teen Health Connection and appointed
member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee. Glenn is an Atlanta, GA native and
arrived in Charlotte, NC in 2004 via Durham, NC where he attended North Carolina Central University and
received a BA in history and MPA in public administration. Glenn is married to Dr. Jennifer Thomas and they
share the blessing of being parents to toddlers, Grayson and Zoe.

Alexandra Arrington - Director of Community Impact

Alexandra joined Justice Initiatives in 2016 as the Program Coordinator and JI's inaugural employee, and now serves as the Director of Community Impact, where she will help build and maintain a statewide support network. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies (Interpersonal and Organizational Concentration) from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a graduate degree in Career Counseling and Placement from North Carolina Central University. She is excited to bring her training and experience in communications, counseling, outreach, consulting, program development and facilitation, coupled with her deep ties to the Mecklenburg County nonprofit community to serve JI and the public. She has worked for the last 12 years in higher education and with several non-profits in various capacities.
