Ms. Taylor is a native North Carolinian. After spending her freshman year at Wake Forest University, she transferred to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and earned a B.A. in Economics. Ms. Taylor returned to North Carolina to attend law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law and earned a Juris Doctorate degree. Ms. Taylor is also a certified Corporate Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP).

Ms. Taylor has eighteen years of experience as a senior administrator and associate professor in the field of legal education. She has taught a wide variety of doctrinal and skills classes including Torts, Animal Law, Negotiable Instruments, and Legal Writing & Research. In 2014, Ms. Taylor taught a legal writing class at Vilnius University Faculty of Law in Vilnius, Lithuania, and facilitated a discussion on the “Art of Legal Writing for an American Audience” at the Vilnius office of LAWIN, the largest law firm in Lithuania. Ms. Taylor has also published a variety of scholarship pieces, most recently she co-authored a chapter in the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2015 Environmental Law Desk Reference Manual. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Taylor has gained expertise in the areas of Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Human Resources.

Ms. Taylor has served on several Charlotte area nonprofit boards, chaired/co-chaired legal association committees, and enjoyed back-to-back terms on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee. Ms. Taylor is also an avid supporter of and an active volunteer in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system.
